After doing financial planning for 18 years, it was obvious to me that many people were struggling with being able to afford their prescription medications. This was especially true if they were uninsured or in the Medicare "doughnut hole." Because of this, I was extremely impressed when I was exposed to two programs specifically designed to help remedy this. One is called the "Patient Assistance Program" which has been around for over 50 years, and the other are free discount prescription drug cards which are honored by most major pharmacies. At first, I thought "What's the catch" with the free card because I was programmed to believe that there are very few things that are truly "free" but once it was explained to me that these are mainly used to attract and increase traffic to their stores, it made perfect sense. Kind of like the "Buy one.....get one free" marketing tool used by thousands of grocery stores; their feeling being that if you can lure the customer in to get the "free" item, while they are there, they will buy many other items as well. Now, not only am I now a big fan of these programs, but have focused on spreading the word throughout the U.S. Please come join me in this crusade by going to www.payless4meds.com where you can download a free card and give it to someone in need along with viewing a short video of explanation on the drug discount card program itself . Hopefully , this site will give you an idea on how incredibly helpful these programs are.
