Thanks ally, In my neck of the woods we have Florida Virtual School, which makes it sooo easy to home school. the only major challenge i have is telling my dd, that she needs to treat this as regular school.
with persistence, and staying focused.

That sounds great. How about socializing with other children. I know that is a big factor these days.

Well this is new to us, but as i understand, there are a list of meet ups, for parents who homeschool.
I can't wait to start socializing with them.

I homeschool also. My daughter is in the second grade. This is our first year homeschooling and so far so good. We home school through a charter school which is a public school that is funded through grants from the Government. She has the option to be on campus or off. My daughter is still very social which is big with us. She does piano and Gymnastics. We also go to a very big church where we are very involved. She is doing very well and I believe next year we are going to homeschool my 5 year old also.
